North Carolina's unemployment rate continues to dip

The unemployment rate in North Carolina remained below the 5% mark in April, according to newly released labor data.

The jobless figure came in at 4.7% last month — down from 5% a year ago and 4.9% in March. It is still higher than the national rate of 4.4%.
