Netflix doubles Adam Sandler deal

Adam Sandler will make four more films for Netflix.

The comedian’s Happy Madison Productions will produce the original projects, which will premiere exclusively on the streaming giant.

Sandler first inked a four-film deal with Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) in October 2014. The company doesn’t release audience numbers but claims that Sandler’s first two movies for the service, “The Ridiculous 6” and “The Do-Over,” have been its biggest film releases.

Boeing warns of Puget Sound region layoffs in May

After a wave of buyouts, Boeing has turned to job cuts at its Puget Sound airplane factories and corporate offices to cut expenses as the slowdown in wide-body jet sales continues.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) served layoff notices to 245 workers as recently as Thursday and filed a notice with the Washington state Employment Security Department.

Their final day at work will be May 23, according Boeing’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice
